Me, I’m a Creator!
Fashion Designer // Culture Novice // Tech Geek Wannabe // Curiositor
If you were wondering “why toffee4108?”… well, that is for a privileged few to learn over a cup of tea.
It was evident from a very young age that I would pursue a life of creative endeavours. Having tinkered with the idea of becoming an RAF pilot and an astronomer, the fashion industry won out – with a healthy distraction of tech related geekdom on the side.
Following my graduation with a Fashion Studies BA(Hons), I did what any creative lost soul does; moved to the dizzy heights of London. After a decade in the Big Smoke, I think it’s safe to no longer refer to me as a “hobo”.

I’m an avid fan of Jane Austen, a lifelong member of the National Trust, an unashamed lover of street art and I have a slight obsession with Brogue shoes. I’ve also run a few marathons, and although I’m no Paula Radcliffe, I did finish them. These days you’re more likely to spot me donning lycra and riding my bike through the streets of London.
Born in the self-proclaimed ‘Creative County’ of Staffordshire, I’ve been lucky enough to share my origins with some of history’s greats; Josiah Wedgwood (Potter, entrepreneur and prominent slavery abolitionist), Reginald J Mitchell (Designer of the Spitfire plane) and Dr Samuel Johnson (Lexicographer and creator of the modern English dictionary). And hey, Sir Jonathan “Jony” Ive, KBE (Chief Design Officer, Apple) went to my school!
I think it’s safe to say, I’ve got a lot to live up to!
